The town on the Zimbabwean side is named Victoria Falls, the town on the Zambian side is named Livingstone, and the Falls themselves are also referred to as Victoria Falls. A foreign agency unfamiliar with the region may erroneously arrange a vacation to Victoria Falls, when you will be residing in Livingstone, Zambia. Refer to the Google map shown below.
The area features curio shops and markets, alongside a few galleries offering expensive art. Numerous booking agents are available for various activities, complemented by an information center, internet cafes (frequently lacking internet access), and several fast food establishments, in addition to a few casual dining restaurants. The Victoria Falls Hotel, Kingdom Hotel, and Ilala Lodge are the three nearest hotels to the entrance gate of the Falls, situated less than one kilometer away. The Cresta Sprayview Hotel and the Rainbow Hotel are situated approximately 2 kilometers from the entrance to the Falls. The other prominent hotels, such as Elephant Hills, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, and A Zambezi Hotel, are not within a typical walking distance; nevertheless, regular bus shuttles to the town and the Falls are provided by the hotels.
Matetsi, Mpala Jena Camp, Victoria Falls River Lodge, Elephant Camp, and the Stanley and Livingstone Hotel are located outside the town, offering a safari experience within game parks; a bus service from the hotel provides transportation into town. Within the residential suburbs of Victoria Falls, there exists a plethora of bed & breakfasts and guesthouses, located no more than approximately 3 kilometers from the Falls. Victoria Falls Rest Camp is centrally located and offers convenient access to all amenities.
